Muscat: Rustaq Hospital has urged donors to donate blood urgently before the beginning of the month of Ramadan.
A statement issued online by Directorate General of Health Services in South Al Batinah Governorate said, "In view of the current circumstances and the decision to extend the night closure during the blessed month of Ramadan, which means that blood banks are not able to conduct donation campaigns, which may result in a sharp decrease in blood stocks, the blood bank at Rustaq Hospital announces the reception of blood donors daily from 8 am to 8 pm, including Friday and Saturday, on 9-10 April 2021 until the beginning of the month of Ramadan, in order to secure the largest number of blood units before the start of the month of Ramadan. "
