Illegally fished shrimp seized in Oman

Muscat: The fish control team in Muscat Governorate seized fresh Omani shrimp.

A statement issued online by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries Wealth & Water Resources, (MAFWR) said: "The fish control team in Muscat Governorate managed to seize 70 kg of fresh Omani shrimp, as the law prohibits hunting, trading, and dealing in Omani shrimp starting from the beginning of December till the end of August, and legal action against violators will be taken."
