Dust storms predicted over parts of Oman

Muscat: Dust storms over desert and open areas of Dhofar and Al Wusta governorates are to be expected, Oman Meteorology said on Monday, May 31, 2021.

The Oman Meteorology said in a statement: "The weather is clear, with partly cloudy skies along the coastal area of Dhofar governorate and the adjoining mountains. Mainly clear skies over the rest of the Sultanate with chances of dust storms over desert and open areas of Dhofar and Al Wusta governorates. Chances of late night to early morning low level clouds over parts of coastal areas of the Arabian Sea."

The expected maximum and minimum temperatures will be 44 degree Celsius and 36 degrees respectively in Muscat, 47 degrees and 35 degrees in Sohar, 46 degrees and 32 degrees in Rustaq, 44 degrees and 24 degrees in Haima, 44 degrees and 30 degrees in Ibri, and 44 degrees and 32 degrees in Khasab.
