Thunderstorms predicted over some parts of Oman

Muscat: There are chances of thunderstorms accompanied by strong downward winds and hail over parts of Oman on Thursday.

 "The weather is clear to partly cloudy skies along the coastal area of Dhofar Governorate and the adjoining mountains with isolated rainfall. Mainly clear skies over the rest of Oman with a chance of convective cloud development and rain. Occasional thunderstorms associated with strong downward winds and hail over Al Hajar Mountains and the adjoining areas towards afternoon and evening may also be expected," Oman Meteorology said in its daily weather forecast.

There are also chances of late night to early morning low level clouds or fog patches along the coastal areas of South Al Sharqiyah Governorate, Oman Meteorology added.
