46,000 people vaccinated against COVID-19 in Oman's South Al Batinah

Muscat: At least 46,000 people have been administered COVID-19 vaccines in South Al Batinah Governorate.

"The number of people vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccines in all the wilayats of South Al Batinah Governorate has so far reached 46,665," Oman News Agency (ONA) said in a statement

Dr Zayed bin Khalifa Al Mayahi, Director of Diseases Surveillance and Control Department at the Directorate General of Health Services in South Al Batinah Governorate, said the directorate is continuing the vaccination campaign in the Sports Complex in Rustaq. The campaign will also continue in hospitals, complexes and health centres that have been identified in the various wilayats of the governorate for the target groups.

Dr Zayed Al Mayahi stressed that all vaccines used in the Sultanate are safe and effective and added that all target groups at this stage or in the upcoming stages specified by the Ministry of Health must expedite the vaccination.
