Muscat: Bed occupancy of COVID-19 cases at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital reached 220 per cent with over 170 new admissions.
According to the latest update issued by SQUH, in the last 24 hours six patients have been admitted to the hospital. The total admission requiring assisted ventilation in intensive care units (ICU), reached 35 with 167 per cent rate of COVID-19 bed occupancy, and 22 people on non-invasive mechanical ventilation at occupancy of 220 per cent.
The hospital added, 38 of the total number of admissions in COVID-19 wards did not require assisted ventilation.
