Thunderstorms expected over parts of Oman

Muscat: Thunderstorms accompanied by fresh winds and hail over Al Hajar Mountains are to be expected on Sunday.

 "The weather is partly cloudy skies along the coastal areas of Dhofar Governorate and the adjoining mountains with chance of isolated rainfall. Mainly clear skies over the rest of Oman with chance of convective cloud development and thunderstorms associated with fresh winds and hail over Al Hajar Mountains towards afternoon. " the Oman Meteorology said in its daily weather forecast.

"Dust storms over deserts and open areas are expected. There are also chances of late night to early morning fog over parts of the Arabian Sea," the Oman Meteorology added.
