Oman weather: Partly cloudy skies, chances of rainfall and thunderstorms

Muscat: The Al Hajar Mountains and adjoining areas may witness thunderstorms accompanied by fresh winds and hail during the periods of afternoon and evening, the Oman Meteorology said on Wednesday.

"The weather is partly cloudy skies along the coastal areas of Dhofar Governorate and the adjoining mountains with a chance of isolated rainfall. Mainly clear skies over the rest of Oman with chances of convective cloud development and thunderstorms associated with fresh winds and hail over the Al Hajar Mountains and adjoining areas towards afternoon and evening," the Oman Meteorology said in its daily weather forecast.

"There are also chances of late night to early morning low level clouds over parts of the Arabian Sea coast. Dust rising winds over deserts and open areas in Dhofar and Al Wusta governorates are to be expected," the Oman Meteorology added.
