Muscat: The visit of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has a profound indication on the relationship between the two countries, said the Sultanate's ambassador to KSA.
His Highness Sayyid Faisal bin Turki Al Said, the Sultanate’s ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, confirms that the visit of His Majesty to his brother, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, is of great importance.
His Highness said in a statement to the Oman News Agency that the meeting of the two leaders will be a qualitative leap for the two countries and its people, stressing that the land border that links the two countries will contribute to facilitating direct land movement, whether at the commercial level or the level of personnel movement.
A report issued by the Ministry of Economy indicates that Saudi investment in the Sultanate is divided into several economic and production sectors, and the three main sectors are trade, construction and services, in addition to other sectors such as transportation, health, industry, and oil and gas.
The report shows that 1,079 Saudi companies invested in the Sultanate until the end of 2020 with a registered investment volume of more than OMR 188 million. The value of Omani exports to Saudi Arabia last year amounted to about OMR 493.2 million, or 4.9 per cent of the total Omani exports to the world.
