Thundershowers expected in parts of Oman

Muscat: There are chances of continuous cloud formation with isolated rain and occasional thundershowers over Governorates of Dhofar, Al-Wusta and South Al Sharqiya. Clouds might also be seen at Al-Hajar Mountains and adjoining areas with thundershowers.

A statement issued online by Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said: "The latest weather charts and analysis of the National Multi Hazards Early Warning Centre show a trough that extended from the Arabian Sea towards the Sultanate starting from Monday."

Arabian Sea will be rough with a maximum wave height between 3 and 4 metres and Oman Sea will see moderate wave height between 1.5 and 2.5 metres.

The CAA advises the public to take precautions and to follow its latest weather bulletins and reports.
