Muscat: Rescue teams have been working extensively to rescue several people who were stuck in their vehicles in North Al Batinah Governorate.

"Three people trapped in their vehicle in a wadi in the Wilayat of Liwa were rescued by teams in North Al Batinah Governorate," Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA), said in a statement.

CDAA added that another person was rescued after his vehicle was stuck in Wadi Al Falaj in the Wilayat of Sohar in the North Al Batinah Governorate. He is in good health.

In another statement, CDAA said: "Rescue teams in the North Al Batinah Governorate managed to rescue a family of five people and transported them to a safe place, following the rise in the level of rainwater in the Wilayat of Liwa."
