Heavy rains to hit some parts of Oman

Muscat: The Civil Aviation Authority has warned about heavy rain accompanied with active downward winds and hail over the coming hours in some Governorates of the Sultanate.

A statement issued online by the Oman Meteorology said: ”There is a noticeable activity of thunder cells in the governorates of Al Dhahirah and Al Dakhiliyah, with heavy rain accompanied by active downward winds and hail over the coming hours.”

The statement pointed out that there is a continuation of the activity of thunder cells and rainfall of varying intensity in the Governorates of Al Dakhiliyah, Al Dhahirah and Al Buraimi, and the extension of rain clouds to the deserts of Al Dhahirah, Al Buraimi and Al Dakhiliyah.
