173 new coronavirus cases, 8 deaths reported in Oman

Muscat: As many as 173 new cases of coronavirus were registered in the Sultanate during the past 24 hours, in addition to 8 new COVID-19-related deaths.

This brings the total number of positive COVID-19 cases to 300,581 in the Sultanate.

The total number of COVID-19-related death cases reached 4,007, the Ministry of Health said.

The Ministry added that 220 new cases have recovered, bringing the total number to 288,922 recoveries.

The Ministry also pointed out that 24 cases were hospitalised over the past 24 hours, as the total number of current hospitalised COVID-19-infected patients stands at 239 of them 98 are in intensive care units (ICUs).
