Muscat: The Ministry of Health (MOH) started vaccinating expats in South Al Batinah Governorate on Wednesday.
"The Directorate General of Health Services in South Al Batinah Governorate started a campaign to vaccinate expats with the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. It targets expat workers in barber shops and beauty salons for women, farmers and workers in meat and poultry stores in the six states of the governorate," Oman News Agency (ONA) said in a statement.
The vaccination centres in the governorate are in the Sports Complex Centre in the Wilayat of Rustaq, Numan Hall in the Wilayat of Barka, Majlis Al Shabiah in the Wilayat of Musanna, Wali’s office hall in the Wilayat of Al Awabi, Omani Women Association hall in the Wilayat of Wadi Al Maawil, and a Nakhl health centre for workers in the Wilayat of Nakhl.
The Directorate General of Health Services in South Al Batinah Governorate is vaccinating expats with the aim of limiting the spread of the virus as vaccination will help reduce cases of infection. This is a part of the national campaign carried out by the Ministry of Health to immunise against COVID-19.
