Oman's public sector employees to return to work

Muscat: As of Wednesday, all public sector employees who have been vaccinated are required to return to work.

This is among the decisions issued by the Supreme Committee during its 26th conference on Tuesday.

Other decisions issued at the meeting

1. Entry into all government and private sector establishments, including commercial complexes, stores, restaurants and sports events, will be restricted to those who have been vaccinated

2. All travellers entering Oman via land, sea or air, must be immunised against the novel coronavirus with an Oman-approved vaccine, and undergo a PCR test on arrival; those who test positive must undergo institutional quarantine and repeat the test after seven days

4. Every one is expected to adhere to precautionary measures against the virus, including social distancing and wearing masks

All decisions will come into effect on Wednesday.
