Muscat:  Oman has reported zero deaths due to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

The last time Oman reported zero deaths was in March 2021, Ibrahim Al Maimani, a social activist and data analyst said.

Speaking exclusively to the Times of Oman, Ibrahim Al Maimani, said, “The last time the Sultanate recorded zero deaths was on March 4, 2021, and after that Oman reported zero deaths on Saturday, September 4, 2021.

This is due to the decrease in the number of inpatients in hospitals, which affects the number of inpatients in intensive care and finally affects the number of deaths.”

“The Sultanate has registered six inpatients in hospitals during the past 24 hours on Sunday,” he added.

“The Sultanate also recorded zero deaths in December 2020, January 2021, and February 2021, as the number of new admissions fell in the hospitals.”

As many as 202 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) were registered in the Sultanate during the past three days, in addition to five new COVID-19-related deaths on Sunday.
