Muscat: His Majesty, Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik has received three phone calls from world leaders, to express their solidarity with Oman in its efforts to repair the damage caused by tropical cyclone Shaheen.
“His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received phone calls this evening from: His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and His Excellency Lieutenant-General Abdel Fattah Al Burhan, Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of the Republic of Sudan,” Oman News Agency, (ONA) said in a statement.
In addition, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the United Arab Emirates, also called His Majesty.
All leaders expressed during the phone calls, the support of their countries and their solidarity with the Sultanate in its efforts to mitigate the repercussions of the tropical situation, and expressed their sincere condolences and sympathy to His Majesty the Sultan and the Omani people for the victims who lost their lives.
His Majesty the Sultan expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to them for their kind initiative, noble sentiments and sincere sympathy, praying to God to spare them and the peoples of their brotherly countries from all evil and harm.
