Omani Women's Day celebration postponed

Muscat: The celebration of Omani Women’s Day 2021 will be postponed due to cyclone Shaheen that Oman has recently witnessed.

"Due to circumstances that the Sultanate’s governorates witnessed due to cyclone Shaheen, and keeping in mind efforts of the country's institutions and citizens have been making to restore life to normal for those affected by the tropical situation. It has decided to postpone the celebration of Omani Women’s Day 2021. The date of the celebration will be announced at a later time," the Ministry of Social Development said in a statement.

The Sultanate celebrates Omani Women's Day on October 17 of every year.
