Over 1,500 government-backed loans approved so far this year: OHB

Muscat: More than 1,600 government-backed loans were approved during the first 9 months of this year, the Oman Housing Bank announced.

The Bank indicated in a report to the Oman News Agency that the total number of loans supported by the government approved during the first nine months of 2021 amounted to 1,641 loans with a total value of nearly OMR 72 million.

The bank clarified that the category of loans for which the banking and administrative services fee is 2 per cent got the largest percentage of the value of the approved loans, reaching 1,150 loans worth OMR 50.247 million.
