Muscat : The Royal Hospital has begun to operate operation rooms in the evening period and during the weekend to reduce the patient waiting lists.
A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA), said :"The Royal Hospital begins operating operations rooms in the evening period and during the weekend, in conjunction with operating during the official working period, with the aim of reducing patient waiting lists, especially after the exceptional period of COVID-19."
Dr. Amed bin Khamis Al Araimi, Director of the Department of Surgery at the Royal Hospital, confirmed that this important step came with the keeping in mind critically ill patients and reducing the waiting period.
"The surgery unit works alongside other units in the hospital within the framework of an integrated system and with the highest standards to create conditions that help provide optimal service and ensure the comfort and safety of patients at the same time," Dr. Amed Al Araimi added.
