Muscat : At least 2000 visitors from different countries of the world have reached the Sultanate of Oman via Mein Schiff Six cruise ship on Wednesday.
Oman News Agency (ONA) said in a statement that Khasab Port in the Musandam Governorate received the cruise ship- ‘Mein Schiff Six’ of the TUI Cruises company, carrying more than 2,100 tourists from different countries. It is the first cruise ship to reach the ports of the Sultanate of Oman with the start of the marine tourism season.
During the 2018/2019 season, the Sultanate of Oman recorded an increase in the number of visitors coming via cruise ships by more than 45 per cent, reaching 283,000 visitors compared to the 2017/2018 season, which was numbered at 193,000.
