Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik has issued two Royal decrees.
Royal Decree No. 66/2021 on the amendment of some provisions of the Royal Decree No. 29/2019 on appointing members of Oman Human Rights Commission.
Article (1) Appoints the following, as representatives from the Shura Council, Foreign Ministry, Ministry of Labour, Environment Authority, as members of Oman Human Rights Commission in accordance with provisions of articles (1) and (2) of the annex attached to the Royal Decree No. 124/2008 on establishing Oman Human Rights Commission and defining itsspecializations, as follows:
- Sheikh Humaid Ali Al Ma'ani (as Deputy Chairman).
- Dr. Hamood Ahmed Hamad Al Yahya'ee.
- Mohammed Ahmed Mohammed Al Rawahi.
- Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Obaid Mahroos Al Say'ari.
Article (2) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.
Royal Decree No. 67/2021 on the ratification of an agreement to establish the Global Dryland Alliance signed in Doha on 21 April 2021 and its amendment protocol signed in Doha on 21 April 2021, after presenting the same before the Shura Council.
Article (1) ratifies the aforesaid agreement and its amendment protocol as per the version attached to this decree.
Article (2) instructs the departments concerned to deposit the document of ratifying the above-mentioned agreement and its amendment protocol in accordance with their provisions.
Article (3) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.
