Complaints to Oman state audit body jump 50 percent in a single year

Muscat: Complaints issued to Oman’s State Financial and Administrative Audit Institution (SAI) jumped more than 50 percent in 2020, compared to 2019.

Oman News Agency reported that a total of 4,544 complaints and reports were filed between 2011 and 2020, of which 94 percent were settled.

In 2020, the number of complaints rose by 51 percent compared to the previous year.

The data was published in the first issue of the SAI’s Community Brief. The brief is undertaken in realisation of the 10th Five Year Plan’s requirements to consolidate transparency and disclosure in a manner that serves the development process in the Sultanate of Oman.
