Muscat: The Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) on Wednesday received the French ambassador to discuss ways of cooperation in various sectors and trade between the two countries.
"His Excellency Eng Ridha bin Juma Al Saleh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, received in his office Veronique Aulagnon, the French ambassador accredited to the Sultanate, to discuss ways of cooperation in various sectors and economic and trade fields between the two countries," OCCI said in a statement.
The meeting discussed the importance of enhancing trade opportunities in a number of sectors, especially the sectors that the Sultanate’s Vision 2040 focuses on, which are represented in manufacturing industries, tourism, transport and logistics, mining and fisheries, and promoting sectors that will grow the rates of trade exchange between the Sultanate of Oman and France.
The meeting touched on the need to support owners of small and medium enterprises, and to work on holding bilateral meetings between Omani business owners and their French counterparts, which in turn contribute to the establishment of commercial partnerships that enhance intra-trade.
