Oman to take part in Arabian Travel Market in Dubai

Muscat: Visitors to the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in the United Arab Emirates are welcome to visit Oman’s pavilion, spanning an area of 200 square metres and includes a main majlis, a tourist information centre, a meeting room, two reception offices, a Bedouin hospitality tent, 14 zones highlighting the institutions of the country and 14 establishments related to the Oman tourism sector.

The ministry’s delegation at ATM will be led by Azzan bin Qassim Al Busaidi, Undersecretary for Tourism at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism.

This annual participation comes within the framework of the country’s effort to participate in international tourism exhibitions, of which this is the largest of its kind in the Middle East.

Over four days, there will be a series of  presentations, meetings and bilateral and joint agreements between visitors and participants, including representatives of major international travel and tourism companies, institutions that will showcase the latest developments in the global tourism industry, as well as thousands of products, services, packages, projects, business opportunities and tourism investments.

“The participation of the Sultanate of Oman in this global event reflects the ministry’s commitment to continue working to promote the Sultanate, in addition to highlighting the most important future tourism projects and developments in the tourism sector to invite investors and those interested in this sector, which includes complexes, tourism projects, the Omani Botanical Garden, hotel projects, adventure tourism projects and historical sites,” said Haitham bin Mohammed Al Ghassani, Director General of Tourism Promotion at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism.

“The participation of the Omani tourism sector delegation in this year’s edition of the ATM exhibition in Dubai is characterised by the launch of the activities of the first edition of the Oman Tourism Forum 2022, and the launch of the new design of the Sultanate of Oman pavilion, which reflects the Omani architectural identity and embodies the character of authenticity, hospitality and welcoming tourists,” he added.

The Arabian Travel Market 2022 is the largest specialised tourism exhibition of its kind in the Middle East.

It is expected that the number of participants and visitors, including specialists, investors, entrepreneurs, workers and those interested in the tourism industry in the region, will exceed 39,000 people.
