Late UAE President laid to rest in Abu Dhabi cemetery

Muscat: The Emirates mourns the death of its late president.

Oman News Services said: “The UAE buried the body of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates - may God have mercy on him.”

The prayers were performed by His Highness, the honorable Sheikhs of the Al Nahyan family.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques directed that the prayer be performed for the deceased, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, after the evening prayer yesterday at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque. He also directed the President of Kuwait to perform the absentee prayers in the State of Kuwait
