Muscat: The Environment Authority has clarified that  entering nature reserves without prior permission is a clear violation of the law on natural reserves and wildlife conservation.

The Environment Authority said that it had recently noticed some people trying to enter the nature reserves without prior permission from the authority, thus violating the wildlife rules and the sanctity of these nature reserves and the purposes for which they were established, including photography enthusiasts, adventurers and beekeepers.

Accordingly, the Authority confirmed the following:

 - It is strictly forbidden to enter the nature reserves of the authority in the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman without a permit.

- Photography and publishing pictures of living creatures in social networks without consent is prohibited.

- It is forbidden to practice walking, climbing and other sports inside nature reserves without the approval of the Authority.

The authority also confirms that it will take legal measures against violators, based on the law on natural reserves and wildlife conservation
