Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman and the United Kingdom on Saturday signed a mutual defence pact.
Rear Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis Al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, and Admiral Sir Tony Radakin, Chief of the Defence Staff, signed the Executive Order of the Mutual Defence Agreement between the Sultanate of Oman and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, at the headquarters of the Royal Military College Sandhurst in the United Kingdom.
“The signing of the executive order of the joint defence agreement comes as a continuation of the efforts of the two countries to enhance the historical relations of cooperation between them in a number of fields, including the military, in addition to the keenness of the leadership of the two friendly countries to deepen the bonds of close relations in a way that achieves the common national goals of the two countries.”
