Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman's Embassy in Ankara has denied rumours circulating on social media about finding the shirt worn by the missing Omani citizen who was washed away by a river in Turkey. Search process is still going on for him.
"The embassy denies what was circulated on some social media sites about finding the shirt worn by the missing citizen in the river, as the shirt belonging to the missing person is among his personal belongings at the hotel. The embassy stresses that the search is continuing by the Turkish authorities, " the embassy said in a statement.
Last Friday the embassy announced that an Omani citizen fell into a river in Ayder, Turkey.
