Muscat: To adopt local and international best practices, Oman Electricity Transmission Company (OETC) is working effortlessly to develop its performance through continuous updating in the international certificate.
Hence, (OETC) celebrates the achievement of International Certification for the second time of ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OSHMS) and ISO 14001:2015 Environment Management System (EMS) as per the international new standards.
The ceremony was held at the headquarters of OETC, hosted by the CEO Eng. Saleh Nasser Al Rumhi with the presence of the management and QHSE team.
Additionally, Eng. Saleh Al Rumhi acknowledged the achievement which demonstrates employees, consultants and contractors’ commitment to ensuring working with the highest safety standards and applying safe work practices through the implementation of the HSE management system and procedures.
Additionally, the CEO congratulated the entire QHSE team, contractors and consultancies for their contribution and urged them to sustain their efforts and commitment to move to higher levels of performance.
QHSE Senior Manager Acting. Fahad Al-Kiyumi stated, “This is a remarkable achievement in HSE milestone for the company, which represents a commitment and involvement with the Management and Employees to maintain the high level of HSEMS performance which is regularly reviewed and monitored by the Executive Management Team. Especially in a challenging environment where there are a lot of Over Head Lines projects within the OETC network.
It is worth noting that obtaining these international certificates reflects the company’s interest in the importance of health, safety and the environment since its establishment. Therefore, the company has always ensured to renew these certificates after the expiry of their validity period to continue to maintain high levels of performance as well as reach the desired goal, which is to achieve a zero lost time injury. In addition to striving to secure a safe work environment that complies with global requirements.
