Earthquake recorded in Arabian Gulf

Muscat: An earthquake has been detected in the Arabian Gulf, the Earthquake Monitoring Centre (EMC) at Sultan Qaboos University said.

"An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.7 and at a depth of 10 km has been recorded in the Arabian Gulf, at 4.40 am MCT. The earthquake was recorded 197 km away from Khasab," EMC said in a statement.
