Sultanate’s Hajj delegation heads to the Holy Land

Muscat: The Omani Hajj Mission for 1443 AH left here on Saturday to the sacred lands, under the chairmanship of Sultan Said al Hinai.

The mission was seen off at  Muscat International Airport by Dr. Mohammed Said al Mamari, Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, Abdullah bin Saud Al Anzi, ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia accredited to the Sultanate of Oman and a number of officials at the Ministry.

Upon arrival at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, the mission would proceed to Makkah Al Mukaramah (Makkah ) and a team from the mission would proceed in three days to Al Madinah Al Munawarah (Medina).

During the stay the mission would serve the hajjis and supervises on performance of their rites.

The mission comprises the Ifta and religious guidance delegation, the administrative and financial delegation, the delegation supervising on hajj companies, the medical delegation, SAI delegation, Royal Oman Police ROP) delegation, the media delegation and the scouts’ delegation.

It is worth mentioning that the number of Hajjis (pilgrims) of the Sultanate of Oman for the year amounted to 8,338 including 200 residents and the number of companies authorised to organise hajj tours stood at 96 companies.
