Muscat: On the occasion of the 52nd National Day of Oman, Embassy of Nepal, Nepali Social Club and Nepali Community/Organisations in Oman organized a “Walkathon” on Friday, 25 November 2022. The Walkathon began from nearby the Embassy of Nepal and walked almost 3 K.M. along the Qurum beach. Nepali Traditional Musical Band Panche Baja was played and people with different Nepali traditional dresses performed the dances/Jhanki. Other participants of the Walkathon wore a T-shirts designed in flag colour of two countries with cross flag of Nepal the Sultanate of Oman and with “Long Live Nepal-Oman Relations”.
Program was witnessed by guests in nearby restaurants and hotels in the beach and other public present in the beach.
At the end of Walkathon, Ambassador Aryal extended thanks to Nepali Organizations, Organizing Committee, Media persons, Oman Police, Participants and all supporters.
On this occasion, Ambassador Aryal extended best wishes for good health and happiness of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, as well as continued peace, progress, and prosperity of the people of the Sultanate of Oman. More than 400 people took part in the programme. Badr Al sama Hospital provided an ambulance in case of emergency and Oman Police provided escorting and security services during the programme.
