Rise in new registrations through 'Invest Easy' portal in Oman

Muscat: Statistics of Invest Easy Portal of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry point out that the number of users for the 65 e-services has remarkably increased as 4194 new commercial registrations (CRs) were recorded in June 2016 including 1442 commercial registrations that were processed through Invest Easy Portal. Statistics also show that the number of e-service users doubled during one month only.
On the other hand, 2185 new commercial registrations were processed through SANAD offices and 478 through the front offices of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and its directorates.
The number of commercial registration renewals during June 2016 also stood at 8430 of which 2614 were processed through Invest Easy Portal, 4009 through SANAD offices and 1743 through the front offices of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and its directorates and 64 through SNAND and law firms.
Statistics also show that the number of e-processed transactions through Invest Easy Portal during June 2016 stood at 4159. The statistics mirror the remarkable turnout by investors to use e-services.
