Muscat: Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, conferred Zayed Second Order (1st Class) on Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah al Qatabi, the Sultanate’s Ambassador to the UAE, in recognition of his efforts during his tenure towards promoting and enhancing the fraternal relations between the two friendly countries in various fields.
The Order was handed over by Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, when he received Shaikh Al Qatabi at the General Diwan of the Foreign Ministry in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday night.
Shaikh Al Nahyan wished the ambassador success in his future assignments. He also valued his role in enhancing the fraternal relations between the Sultanate and the UAE in different spheres.
The Sultanate’s ambassador expressed his utmost thanks and appreciation to President Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed al Nahyan of the UAE. He hailed the wise policy and prominent role of Shaikh Khalifa in the regional and international arenas. The Sultanate’s ambassador also expressed his thanks to all government units in the UAE for the cooperation he received, which had facilitated him to carry out his duty and enhance relations between the two brotherly countries.
