Muscat: The Royal Oman Police has announced its readiness and confirmed that it is well prepared for the activities of the Muscat Nights 2023 events which is set to begin tomorrow, Thursday, January 19, 2023.
Brigadier General Mohammed bin Nasser Al Kindi, Director General of Operations, representative of the Royal Oman Police in the main committee of the Muscat Nights 2023 activities, said in a statement to Oman News Agency: "Based on the directives of the General Command of the Royal Oman Police, planning and preparation began early for this event with the aim of maintaining security and public order, securing visitors and the conduct of events. Facilitating procedures for obtaining visas, customs clearance and media awareness. "
The Royal Oman Police held preparatory meetings with Muscat Municipality to discuss the general idea of the activities and events of Muscat Nights, in addition to conducting field visits to the sites where these events will be held.
The Brigadier General, Director General of Operations stressed the need for intensification of the police presence at the sites of the Muscat Nights 2023 events, maintain public order and achieve the highest levels of security and safety. The role of the police will be represented in monitoring and securing the gates of event sites, conducting foot patrols and dealing with reports and complaints. Traffic patrols will also be conducted outside the event sites to facilitate the flow of traffic and ensure a smooth flow of visitors.
The Brigadier General, Director General of Operations also stressed the need for visitors to adhere to the regulations, laws, public morals and safety requirements set by those in charge of event management, and the importance of following the website of the Royal Oman Police and identifiers on social media to view security instructions and developments and obtain information.
