OWWSC issues statement on affected water distribution network in Amerat

Muscat: Work is underway to maintain and repair the water distribution network affected by the mountain collapse that took place in the Wilayat of Amerat, Oman Water and Wastewater Services Company (OWWSC), said.

"Referring to the previous clarification about the mountain collapse in the Wilayat of Amerat, and the water distribution network that was affected as a result of this collapse, we would like to report that the company is continuing maintenance and repair work on the affected water network at the accident site, which requires the activation of all safety and security measures for workers at the site." the company said in a statement.

"We would like to reassure our dear subscribers that all necessary and immediate measures will be taken in order to ensure the continuity of the service, and accordingly we invite you to continue to ration water consumption," the statement added.
