Two injured in hit-and-run accident in Oman

Muscat: Two people were seriously injured on Saturday after a person ran over them with his vehicle and fled from the scene of the accident in the Wilayat of Suwaiq, North Al Batinah Governorate.

"North Al Batinah Governorate Police Command arrested a citizen after he drifted by his a vehicle in Al Bidaya area in the Wilayat of Suwaiq, which led to running over two people, seriously injuring them, and fleeing from the place to hide the vehicle. The procedures for referring him to the judicial authorities will be completed against him, " Royal Oman Police (ROP) said in a statement.
