Muscat: His Highness Sayyid Bilarab bin Haitham Al Said, Honourary President of the Omani Programme for Promising Omani Start-ups, paid field visits to a group of Omani start-ups.
The visit reflects the programme’s objectives by supporting innovation and technology-based start-ups, creating an enabling milieu for owners of start-ups and creative ideas. The visit also aims at viewing the work progress of start-ups and the challenges facing them.
The visits also comes as part of the programme’s plans for 2023, and one of the themes revealed by the first meeting of the supervisory committee of the Omani Programme for Promising Omani Start-ups, which was held last February.
The programme of his tour included a visit to the headquarters of ITHCA Group at the Knowledge Oasis Muscat (KOM), during which HH Sayyid Bilarab viewed the investment file in start-ups, in addition to familiarising with the experience of the Group in investment in other start-ups.
The visits also included viewing the experience of eMushrif. It is a company specialised in safe and smart school transportation by providing school buses with electronic devices linked to smart applications for parents and service providers to ensure the safety of students.
The visits also included Bviser “Ijtimaati”, which is specialised in meeting governance, starting from preparing the agenda and attaching documents to distributing meeting minutes and following up on taking and implementing decisions in a faster and orderly manner.
This visit also included OSOS company, which is specialised in providing integrated business programmes and applications, technology and digital transformation services for institutions.
HH Sayyid Bilarab also got acquainted with Otaxi company, an Omani company for requesting taxi services through an application on smart phones.
He also visited Onsor Technologies company, which is a leading Omani company in providing a variety of products and technical solutions.
