One arrested for drifting

Muscat: Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested a citizen on charges of drifting, displaying rash driving, disturbing peace and tranquillity and damaging public property in North Al Batinah Governorate.

A statement issued online by ROP said, "North Al Batinah Governorate Police Command arrested a citizen on charges of drifting, displaying, disturbing peace and tranquillity, damaging public property after colliding with a lighting pole, escaping from the site, and hiding the vehicle used in the incident.”

The statement also added that the citizen was taken to the judicial authorities for the completion of further legal procedures
