One of the mostly loved recipes from Iran are their Grilled Recipes. All their recipes are crowd pullers and it will leave all of them with a very special sense of taste on tongue and craving for more.
Let me share a very simple and easy way to make Grilled Lamb Chops “The Iran Style”.
Ingredients
500gms Lamb Chops
Saffron flavor (Soaked Saffron in water) 4tsp
Onions Roughly Chopped in Chunks 6pieces
Tomatoes Chunks 4pieces
Capsicum Chunks 6pieces
Olive Oil 5tsp
Lemon juice 3 tsp
Yogurt 5tsp
Ginger and Garlic paste 3tsp
Citrus Zest 1tsp
Salt 2tsp
Pepper powder 3tsp
Preparation
For Grills here is a very important Tip - Always Choose Lamb Chops which has more meat at least 1inch thick to enjoy the flavors of Grilled Meat flavor.
Take a bowl and combine Lemon juice, Yogurt, Ginger and Garlic paste, Citrus Zest, Salt, Pepper powder and prepare a Mixture.
Marinate the Chops with prepare Mixture and allow it rest for minimum 12 hours to infuse the flavor
Now prepare the basting Mixture. (Saffron water, Olive Oil)
Preheat the Grill. Arrange the Chops on the Skewer all the Veggies. Brush all the skewers with the basting mixture.
Grill them until the meat is tender- May take 5 mints each side. Keep applying the basting Mixture to the chops every turn you do in order to avoid burning of chops and also drying.
Once done, serve them hot with flat breads, pickles and sprinkle some olive oils with sumac for more flavors.
