Ports of Salalah, Sohar, Duqm achieved 8% growth in 2022

The key ports of the Sultanate of Oman (Salalah, Sohar and Duqm) achieved a total growth in their operations by 8 percent, as more than 62.3 million tonnes of general cargo were handled during 2022, with a growth rate of 10 percent over the same period in 2021.Liquid cargo handled stood at more than 23.7 million tonnes, an increase of 22 percent over the same period in 2021. The number of containers handled at the three ports stood at about 5.2 million TEUs. More than 1.59 million heads of livestock and 71,700 vehicles and equipment were handled.
