Laugh your way to happiness
Did you know that if you laugh for 15 minutes, your mind and body will thank you? Every year on the first Sunday in May, World Laughter Day raises awareness of laughter and the many healing benefits it provides. Another goal of the day is to manifest World Peace and build a global consciousness through laughter. This year World Laughter Day is being celebrated on May 7th. To commemorate the day watch these comedy films and laugh out loud. After all, laughter is the best medicine.
His Girl Friday
Starring Carey Grant and Rosalind Russell as Walter and Hildy, the story bounces around a Chicago newsroom with Walter persuading his ex-wife, Hildy, to scoop one last story with him before she gets remarried. Antics, action, and an affable romance story are in store.
It Happened One Night
Riding shotgun with Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert, this Frank Capra classic cleaned up at the 1935 Oscars, winning the Big Five categories (the first film to do so). Spoiled rich girl and cynical news chaser fall in love between pit stops from Florida to New York.
Much Ado About Nothing
Starring Emma Thompson, Denzel Washington, and Keanu Reeves, the story explores the ripple effects of one of life's inconvenient truths: rumours. Young lovers, and soon to wed, Hero and Claudio conspire to get verbal sparring partners and confirmed singles, Benedick and Beatrice, to wed as well.
Beetlejuice
When the deceased couple Adam and Barbara are unsuccessful in scaring away a family that has moved into their old home, they seek the help of bio-exorcist Betelgeuse.
Dumb and Dumber
Two good-hearted but incredibly stupid friends stumble upon a briefcase. Unknown to them, it contains money that is intended for abductors with connections to the mob. After a woman leaves a briefcase at the airport terminal, a dumb limo driver and his dumber friend set out on a hilarious cross-country road trip to Aspen to return it.
