Over 15 expats arrested for violations across Oman

Muscat: A total of 19 expats have been arrested for attempting to enter the Sultanate of Oman illegally, and possessing large quantities of narcotics and psychotropic substances, said the Royal Oman Police (ROP).

ROP said: “The Coast Guard Police, led by the Dhofar Governorate Police, arrested 12 people of Arab nationality in the Omani territorial waters for attempting to enter the country illegally.”

In another incident, the General Administration for Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Control arrested seven people of Asian nationalities on charges of possessing large quantities of narcotics and psychotropic substances in order to traffic in them. The legal procedures against them are being completed.
