Muscat: No usage of loudspeakers, lasers, or upward-facing light were among the requirements for using mobile homes (caravans) during the Khareef season 2023. An administrative fine of OMR 100 will be imposed on anyone who will violate the requirements.
"Based on the importance of organising mobile homes (caravans), providing designated places and putting in place appropriate mechanisms and regulating controls, the following must be adhered to:
1- Obligation to obtain permits for organising caravans for the Khareef season 2023.
2- Loudspeakers, lasers, or upward-facing lights cannot be used.
3- Prohibition to erect fences of any kind around the designated site.
4- The need to provide security and safety equipment in the caravan throughout the authorized period.
5- Obligation to pay the prescribed fees at the rate of OMR 35 for each week. Also, the payment of the insurance value of OMR 50 will be refunded after the end of the authorized period.
6- An administrative fine of OMR 100 shall be imposed in the event of non-compliance with any of the controls or requirements.
7- In the event of a repeat violation and failure to comply with the implementation of the required requirements, immediate removal will take place, without the municipality bearing any responsibility towards others. The provisions apply in the event of non-compliance with the regulations and requirements," Dhofar Municipality said.
