Muscat: The Omani Taekwondo Team will participate in the World Taekwondo Championship in Bosnia and Herzegovina from August 27 to September 3, 2023.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, represented by the Omani Taekwondo Committee, said that the team will participate in the World Taekwondo Championship, which will be held in Bosnia. The Omani team includes seven Omani players and coaches.
Dr. Talal bin Mohammed Al-Balushi, head of the delegation, explained that the World Taekwondo Championship is one of the most important international competitions that work to refine the players' skills and provide them with the necessary expertise and capabilities to be the best among the world's players.
The coach of the national team, Waleed bin Yousef Al Balushi, confirmed that the Omani players need to come into contact with international expertise and get used to the atmosphere of international tournaments. Dr. Talal Al Balushi added that the World Taekwondo Championship is held every two years, as it participates in this version with the rest of the world, whose players compete to achieve the best results.
This tournament is included in the international calendar of the Omani Taekwondo Committee for the year 2023, which includes a number of participations at various local, regional and international levels.
