His Majesty Sultan Qaboos receives 46th Renaissance Day greetings

MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said has received cables of greetings from State Council Chairman Dr Yahya bin Mahfoudh Al Mantheri, Majlis Al Shura Chairman Khalid bin Hilal Al Ma’awali, Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs Sayyid Badr bin Saud Al Busaidi and Inspector General of Police and Customs Lt. Gen Hassan bin Mohsin Al Shraiqi, on the occasion of 46th anniversary of the Blessed Renaissance Day, July 23.
In his cable, Dr Al Mantheri said: “I am honoured, on behalf of myself and on behalf of the honourable members of the State Council and its employees, to extend to Your Majesty the sincerest greetings and best wishes on the 46th anniversary of the Blessed Renaissance Day, praying to Allah the Almighty to give His Majesty good health, happiness, and let our beloved country, under your wise leadership, enjoy glory, growth and prosperity and security.”
“The great occasion should be remembered with pride, and of the progress made during the blessed renaissance by Your Majesty for your faithful people for the past four decades, with wisdom and resoluteness, which placed the Sultanate on a higher rank in the modern world system. It was not an easy route, but it was paved with solid resolve, dedicated efforts and great sacrifices, which yielded benefits to all citizens and residents.”
“While looking at the achievements in various fields, it is clear that great progress has been made in education, health, transportation, social welfare, economy, judiciary, security and defence services, and not the least, Majlis Al Shura and Municipality, which form a qualitative step in the process of societal participation in framing the national policies.”
“During renaissance years, Omani citizens have been the basis of development. The development of this country and society has been achieved, in reality, though national qualified cadres occupying important positions in each field, and, as per their qualifications and specialisations. “
“This beloved country, which presented all types of welfare and unlimited support during all these blessed years, has been fulfilled under your wise leadership.”
“We are praying to Allah the Almighty to grant you success and bestow the blessings of security and prosperity on Oman.”
Al Ma’awali said in the cable, “With dignity, loyalty, sublime thought and glory; we have lived in an era of Your Majesty throughout Oman. On July 23, 1970, you ignited a brilliant light for Oman and its faithful people. You promised a new era, carrying out in reality a comprehensive infrastructure development. You honestly promised development and prosperity for the faithful people and your great land Oman.”
“You established the Majlis Al Shura as a true pillar of democracy. It emerged from the Islamic faith and Omani traditions and customs, and, therefore, the Shura march has taken clear, graded and balanced steps in accordance with the society’s requirements for the accomplishment of the objectives set by Your Majesty, which are aimed at prosperity, welfare and a generous life for your faithful people. By the grace of Allah, you have positioned Oman at all times in the great comity of nations.”
“The Blessed Renaissance Day is an immortal day in Oman’s history and in the memory of the Omani people. Today, we proudly stand behind your victorious flags for the development plans, which include all political, social, economic and development aspects. We are renewing covenant and loyalty to exert more efforts to serve this beloved country and to maintain these achievements and proceed ahead to achieve complete stability for the Omani people and contribute to the progress of nation. On this beloved occasion, I am honoured on behalf of the Majlis Al Shura to extend to Your Majesty the sincerest greetings, praying to Allah the Almighty to repeat this occasion and all happy occasions to Your Majesty with good health and happiness, and protect Your Majesty against all harms.”
In his cable the minister responsible for defence affairs said: “The Blessed 23rd July is a national day in the history of Oman when this beloved country renews its commitment for a bright and prosperous future for the Omani citizens despite all the challenges. Celebrating this occasion, your armed forces and victorious forces and all members of the Ministry of Defence extend to Your Majesty the sincerest greetings and best wishes on the anniversary of the Blessed Renaissance Day, praying to Allah the Almighty to protect Your Majesty against all harms.
“While Your Majesty’s armed forces celebrate this blessed day, it has provided them after 46 years of the Blessed Renaissance an advanced civilised military force with strong principles which, in collaboration with other state institutions, has created a suitable platform for a glorious stage of peace, stability and progress of all across Oman.”
“The development witnessed by Your Majesty’s armed forces is the result of Your Majesty’s generous care and support as the forces have positioned themselves in terms of training, arming and organisational skills not restricted to the military field only. Extending greetings on behalf of the Royal Oman Police, Al Shraiqi said: “My sincerest greetings and best wishes on the occasion of the anniversary of the Blessed Renaissance Day to Your Majesty. I am praying to Allah the Almighty for more returns of this occasion and all happy occasions for Your Majesty with good health, happiness, and for Oman and its generous people with happiness and peace.”
