Foreign Ministry organises charity market to promote motherhood, childcare

Muscat:  Acting in cooperation with embassies accredited to the Sultanate of Oman and Al-Rahma Society for Mother and Childcare, the Foreign Ministry today organized a diplomatic charity market under the slogan “Be the reason for their joy”.

The ministry was represented by the Diplomatic Club, where the event took place.

The bazaar, the first of its kind in Oman, sought to raise donations for Al-Rahma society and highlight the significance of social collaboration among individuals and institutions in supporting self-employed families, owners of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurs.

The event saw a large turnout from embassies of Arab and friendly countries, which took the opportunity to showcase their cultures, traditions and products. Each embassy was accorded a stall to exhibit its home products and handicrafts.

The opening of the charity market was held under the auspices of Khalid Hashel Al Musalhi, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Administrative and Financial Affairs.
