Muscat: The Youth and Human Resources Committee of Majlis Al Shura on Monday discussed the proposal of the draft law of the private entities operating in the field of sports and the proposal on the draft law of the Sports, Cultural and Youth Activities Support Fund within the plan of the committee for the first annual convening.
The draft law of the private entities operating in the sports field targets issuance of a regulation organising registration with the civil teams, the civil teams governance and identifying their systems along with issuance of the Articles of Association of the civil teams similar to that of the sports clubs.
The discussion on the draft law of the Sports, Cultural and Youth Activities Support Fund aimed to support the efforts of Oman in achievement of sustainable goals in the sports, cultural and youth sector.
The discussion was held at the premises of Majlis Al Shura during the fourth meeting of the first annual convening (2023-2024) of the tenth term (2023-2027).
It was chaired by Younis bin Ali Al Manthari, chairman of the committee in the presence of the members.
The committee met with a number of national owners of vehicles at one of the sites affected with construction of a government project. The members of the committee also listened to the claims of some citizens working within the ‘One Million Working Hours’ (Part Time Contract).
