Urgent call for blood donation in Oman

Muscat: Due to a severe shortage of all blood units at the Central Blood Bank in Bausher, the  Department of Blood Banks Services (DBBS), has called for blood donations as it needs more than 720 donors during this period.

DBBS said in a statement: "The Central Blood Bank in Bausher is experiencing a severe blood unit shortage during this time , and given our urgent need for more than 720 blood donors and 70 platelet donors this week to meet the needs of health institutions . We urge everyone to donate blood at the Central Bank of Baushar ."

"The blood donation hours at the Central Blood Bank in Baushar, from Saturday to Thursday, are from 8 am to 8 pm and on Friday from 8 am to 2 pm. Please book your appointment to donate blood via WhatsApp at 94555648," DBBS added .
